We were so excited to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse this week!
We headed to the north side of our neighborhood and set up shop with our neighbors, Jen and Brian. The kids were excited to see what it all meant.
We played a little Don't Eat Pete to pass the time while the moon was playing its tricks.
The crescent shadows cast on the sidewalk were SO cool.
Time for socializing and relaxing while watching.
See the crescent shaped sun? This was at the tail-end of things as we walked home.

Probably the only time I think seeing a solar eclipse has been a possibility where I live and...I have a trip to Tennessee planned where you could not see it! ARGH! Glad you took advantage and I made up for it later (sort of)by seeing the transition of Venus.
