Heidi is SIX!

Our little girl turned 6 on March 13th! For some reason passing the tipping point towards 10 seems like a big step. She was so excited to add another finger to her age.

Heidi woke up that morning just pleased as can be to finally have her special day arrive. With Nathan's birthday just two weeks before hers she had all the celebrations and festivities fresh on her mind and she couldn't wait for her turn. 

She woke up and put on a Sunday dress because she said she wanted to look her best for the day. 

We did school, piano lessons and then ventured out to the store. I had to go to Kid-to-Kid to get something and she enjoyed picking something out with her birthday money. 

That evening she followed in Nathan's footsteps and decided she wanted to have hot dogs for her birthday meal. And since we had plenty left over from his party it was perfect. 

She couldn't wait for present time!! 

She was excited to receive My Little Pony playsets, a book, a UK nightshirt, and a ring. 

At six:

- You love life and have loved it since the beginning. Your enthusiasm lights up our home.

- You are the "oldest". You love to mother your younger brothers.

- Dressing up is a lot of fun but you are finally okay with wearing pants on many days of the week. 

- Playing with friends is a favorite, especially 11 year old neighbor, Jenna. 

- Favorite foods are oatmeal, peanut butter sandwiches with grape jelly, salad, and carrots and ranch, blueberries.

- Any type of craft or art project is very exciting.

- Your reading really started to take off several months ago and now you are excited about a whole new world of reading to yourself out loud and in your head.

- You have a strong desire to obey and please your Heavenly Father and Mommy and Daddy.
