The Unfolding of Our Spring

Some random pictures on spring/early summer that while long past need to be documented here.

We had a lot of fun planning and plotting and planting the garden together. In fact, I've learned that being out in the garden is my sanctuary! I love the relaxation that come from being out there and the kids love it too.

The crop in the back field this year was wheat. It was beautiful.

Worker Man enjoyed working on projects to his hearts content.

Trying his hand at building a chicken coop. He was out there ALL day.

And BIG milestone for Heidi: She learned to ride her bike without training wheels. This has been a long time coming. Both Daddy and I have worked with her lots but she ended up just figuring it out on her own eventually. And off she went!

Honestly not sure what's going on here but they are cute.

One afternoon our next door neighbor brought these three chicks to the door and explained they couldn't keep them because of their dogs trying to get them. We kept them for 24 hours and the kids were in heaven. We came to the quick realization they needed a bigger place and soon and we couldn't provide that yet so some friends of ours so kindly adopted them.

Some Lowes Saturday projects...

The kids were really excited about these two random hot air ballons over the field. Especially Matthew. He is still asking where they went!
