Heidi and Nathan had a wonderful school year, completing 2nd grade and Kindergarten respectively.
Heidi was at LLS for her second year and was with Mrs. Rector. She excelled academically and made good friends. Her favorite friend to play with during recess was Claire McArthur. She was excited to receive a couple exciting awards at the end of the year. She won first place in the New American Cursive contest and received the ribbon and gifts below. She also was awarded for getting perfect scores on her spelling tests all year long. It was fun to watch her be awarded for her hard work.
Her favorite subjects in 2nd grade were Latin, Math, and PE.
Nathan did homeschool with Mommy for Kindergarten and also attended a morning preschool class at Miss Bryn's on Tuesdsays and Wednesdays. She very proudly called him her assistant.
It was really nice to have Nathan at home and I was happy to have that extra time with him and to help him one-on-one with reading, writing, and math. He grew leaps and bounds in all those areas and worked hard at applying himself. He finished his "Raceway" language arts program and was really proud of all his accomplishments through the year. He and I celebrated by going on a frozen yogurt date, just the two of us.
Here he is a graduation with Miss Bryn's class. Attending her preschool was an excellent experience and he really grew in confidence and social skills.
