Getting a decent family picture was quite the process this year.
Attempt #1: Trent got home from being on call and suggested that we take advantage of the field behind our house for a family picture. We all spiffed up as quickly as we could manage and hurtled our family over the farm fence. We had a ladder but it was still interesting. The June air was hot and muggy but we did our best. We didn't get any shots we loved but we DID end up with some souveniers: chiggers! Everyone but Thomas was super itchy from our short time in that tall grass.

Attempt #2:
Trent gets off work later than we planned and we hurry to a nearby park to try to get what we can. Too dark, no good shots.
Attempt #3:
By this time I was getting awfully tired of getting everyone picture ready. And finally, on our last attempt, we got some Christmas card worthy shots. Hallelujah!
