On Our Way to Glenwood, Minnesota

Ever since Trace Adkins released his song "Just Fishin'" Trent promised the kids he would take them fishing. The opportunity never presented itself because of time and equipment deficiencies. Anticipating this trip as an opportunity to take the kids fishing. The night before we left, Trent went to Walmart and scoured the fishing pole section for a fishing rod that would collapse into our suitcase or fit as a carryon. Thankfully he found one and with Nathan's tackle box (supplies gathered mostly from Trent's dad's tackle box we had borrowed years before in hopes of going on this trip someday), we set out for some successful fishing.

We were flying from Louisville and mistakenly anticipated a short and easy flight. Unfortunately, due to airplane maintenance problems we spent nearly ALL day in the airport waiting to successfully board.

The kids were real troopers and stayed busy walking around and looking at planes.

Hooray! We finally made it on the plane.

After 6 hours of a delay this little traveler was plum tuckered out as soon as we were airborne.

The kids were pretty excited for a turn to sit in the cockpit. Even got to try on the pilot hat!

Heidi and Nathan enjoyed being at the "front" of the airport subway.

Although we were late and missed the pizza dinner everyone else had, there was just enough time to sneak in a few minutes of cousin time before bed.
