Graduation week was filled with several events to help mark this important occasion. The night before graduation we got to attend Founder's Ball.
It is a formal, black-tie affair and it was so fun to have an excuse to dress up. My sis-in-law Shayla was a champ and willingly did my hair for me and babysat our kiddos.
As we left out house, my parents, Trent's mom and sister were there to see us off. It sort of felt like we were leaving for the prom (minus the cute kids hiding behind us in this picture!). Especially when they shooed us out the door and asked us (jokingly) what time we would be home. It was a nice break from the complete chaos that ensues when you decide to graduate from dental school and move across the country back to back.
It was GREAT to get to spend such a fun night with our dental school friends!
These ladies are my wonderful "playgroup" friends. We faithfully gathered each Wednesday to let our kids play and we enjoyed chatting and it was so nice to have ladies who knew exactly what we were going through.

These guys were supposed to be acting "goofy" in this picture but only a couple of them got the memo, thus explaining Trent's face!

We thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet menu!
They were nice to provide us with sparkling cider for the toasts.
So nice to have a night out with my honey.
They did a wonderful tribute to the graduates that night and it was such a fun night to honor their achievement. And the night would not be complete without dancing! After all the formalities were through they cranked up the music and we enjoyed dancing and hanging out one last time with friends.
