Graduation: Family Luncheon

On graduation afternoon we gathered with family for a luncheon before heading to the commencement.
Uncle Ray and Aunt Sharon were so kind to let us hold it in their home. Our house was empty with our belongings on their way to Kentucky so it was nice to have a comfortable place to gather.

Heidi couldn't wait to "brush her teeth" with these sugar cookie toothbrushes.

We had a spread of sandwiches and fixings and enjoyed a very relaxed, casual gathering before the more formal festivities began.

And of course lots of cousin play!

Trent's good friends, Jeanne and Jayne, flew out from California to support him on his big day. They are friends from his mission and are Deaf. He enjoyed having lots of conversation with them that afternoon and was so pleased!

And as the next several pictures attest, some silliness occured!
The kids found these funny wigs in the playroom and we spent some time modeling them!

And just to show that even though it was a special day the craziness of our week continued! I was without a washing machine so Trent's mom was so nice to run my wash and then we had a folding party!

Matt had graduated the week prior and had his hood...so he shared it with Trent since he hadn't received his yet.

Up next, Commencement!

It is 11:23 pm, and I'm sitting in Dad's office while everyone is asleep, and I just erupted in laughter at those wig pictures--especially the one of your father and mother. Your dad looks so funny in that wig! What a hoot. :)
