Continuing the House Work

I wanted to share some more pictures of our house work from the last few months.

Here is Nathan trying out Trent heavy duty mask he used for spraying paint.
This boy has been in his HEAVEN with all this work!
Ripping out carpet from that basement family room was wonderful. It was original to the house and while in pretty good condition for its age, it had seen better days and was definitely contributing to the old, musty smell of our basement. And do you see the dark section of the paneling on either side of the fireplace? That is where we ripped out some unsightly, dark shelves. Getting rid of those was also and instant update.
Below, Trent is giving our new doors a nice coat of white paint.

Sunglasses and safety goggles- one can never be too prepared!

This little cutie being patient and watching the commotion.

If you remember from a previous post, Nathan and Grandpa Chuck worked on this cardboard rocket ship together. Nathan got it all ready and Daddy gave it a coat of bright white paint while he did ceilings and doors.

We ran into a bit of a hiccup as we prepared to do our entryway flooring. As it turns out there was very little clearance between the floor and the door and adding tile we knew the door would defintely have no opening room. We were worried we may have to get a new door to make it all work but did not want the expense of that if at all possible. Luckily we found someone who would reset our door a few inches higher. Not only was it a very reasonable cost but he had it done in an hour or two and it solved our problem!

I think that paint started to get to our heads :)
