School began the day after Labor Day and the kids were so ready and excited. We really had a wonderful summer and in many ways it was sad to see it end. But at the same time, the structure and predictability is nice to have back in our days.
Heidi was very excited to begin 3rd grade, and was excited to learn that she would be in Mrs. Hogue's class. And also pretty excited to sport her new "wheelie" backpack.
This was a big, new beginning for Nathan as not only was he starting first grade but also starting at LLS for his first year! Mom was much more nervous than he was. He seemed to be ready to launch into his new world with no qualms whatsoever. Notice the apple in his left hand? He hand picked that at the orchard the day before to give to his teacher. He is in Ms. Neuer's class.
