Happy Birthday, Dear Heidi!

Our little girl is 4 years old!
We celebrated her birthday this year with a family birthday party and had a grand time. The Harmon's were able to join us for a day of fun and fun it was!
We went to a nearby park and let the kids enjoy the rides for a few hours.

Do you think she enjoyed the carousel?

And we rode around the park on the cutest miniature train.

Cousins enjoying the ride!

And a cute little brother didn't miss a second of the fun.

Guess who made the cake? Daddy! He stayed up until 1:30 am the night before so he could get it just right. Someday Heidi will realize just how precious this picture is of Daddy's big hands decorating her pink castle cake.
Ta-da!

In Heidi's opinion, the butterfly birthday hats were one of the most important parts of the party. Little cousin Peyton was a good sport...
And so was Oakley...
Happy Girl.
Heidi, you are a bright ray of enthusiasm and sunshine in our home. Your birth 4 years ago seems like it was just yesterday in so many ways, yet you have grown and matured into pure delight. You help everyone around you see that there is excitement in everything if you look for it. You are a nurturing older sister and treat Nathan with love and kindness. Your imagination knows no bounds and it keeps you (and Nathan) entertained for hours! We know that your determination will take you places in the coming years and Mom and Dad are holding on for the ride.

We love you, princess.

Thanks for an awesome party! I just realized you really don't celebrate holidays/special days the day of. Will this hav to be your trend for the rest of the year as Daddy will be gone a lot?
