Taking my punkins to the Pumpkin Patch

We made a trip to a local farm last week for their fall festival with some of our playgroup friends. It did not disappoint! It was a lot of fun. Trent ended up having the morning off that day and was able to come along for the fun. I told him it was like a secret peek into the world of stay-at-home moms for a day as he was the only dad along. :)

Heidi requested a photo shoot on the big pile of pumpkins. She enjoyed coming up with her own poses!

She knew exactly the pose she wanted for the group shot and convinced Nathan to sit right in front of her. He wasn't too sure but played along with the idea for the most part.

Our attempted group shot. This was at the end of the morning and the kids were hot (yes, it was near 100) and tired and not so ready to be smiling for the camera. This is dear bunch of friends (missing some important people who couldn't be there) that we wanted to document.

There must've been a big caterpillar hatching because there were so many of these fuzzy-wuzzy guys crawling around.

The kids wanted to try out the corn maze and we went just far enough down the trail to appease their curiosity. It was acres upon acres...

Heidi's favorite animal of the day...

They had a giant air "pillow" to bounce on and it was lots of fun until some bigger kids joined the group and it got considerably bounicer. Nathan ended up not loving it by the end but Heidi had a great time.

Milking the "cow" was Nathan's favorite part of the day.

Riding the cow train was a major hit!

It was a very fun way to spend the morning with some fall festivities. We ended the week with our church "trunk-r-treat" (pictures to come later) and the kids are counting down the days till the rest of the Halloween celebrations continue!
