4th of July at the Cabin

We left Phoenix with a forecast of 117 and headed north to spend the weekend enjoying family and cooler weather at Trent's grandparent's cabin. The night before we left we got word that Trent's parents and Shayla would be driving down from Utah and meeting us there! It was a great and relaxing weekend and so very nice to spend some much-needed time with family. Here's how the weekend went-

Our little family feeling very patriotic in front of the flag:

We were so glad that the Harmon's were able to come. Heidi and Oakley played hard. They adore eachother:

A few of us enjoyed blazing our own trail up the mountain:

And what would a weekend at the cabin be without some good eating? Trent whipped up these "turtle burgers" and homemade icecream. Pretty intense, huh?

Grammy Joyce in the kitchen:
An early "Happy 90th" for Great Grandpa:

Peek-a-boo to Nathan:
More cousin love:

Nathan giggling at Heidi. Not an uncommon occurence:
All of this resulted in some pretty tired kids. Perfect sleeping:

What a fabulous time. We were sad to see the weekend end and can't wait to do it again!

Looks SO fun. You guys are cute in your matching shirts. And how many people is that burger supposed to feed?
