Weekend Movie

Going to a 3-D movie when you are 4 years old is a big deal. Especially when the movie is about a certain princess with really long hair and you've heard all your friends talking about it for a long time.

Last weekend our friends (who recently moved) came back in town for a couple days. These cute friends got to go to the dollar theater and watch Tangled 3-D. Heidi has been to a theater a couple times but never a 3-D feature so I wasn't sure how she'd react. She thought these "sunglasses" they gave us were super neat. She sat down on the very edge of her theater seat and put these glasses on. She immediately exclaimed that the movie was coming very close to her! She was even reaching her hands out to try to touch what was happening on screen. It was a little difficult to contain such excitement- her whisper isn't the very quietest around! The combination of the sunglasses and her excitement and zeal was adorable.

She thought this was the best way EVER to watch a movie. She loved the story and ate up every minute. Mom had to do some serious explaining in her ear about the plot and who was the Rapunzel's real mommy and who was not nice and just pretending to be her mommy. Didn't want any lasting confusion on that subject but she seemed to grasp it!

I offered to have her sit on my lap for a better view but she insisted on sitting on her own seat and stayed perched on the edge the entire time. Daddy was nice enough to stay home and write his paper while Nathan napped, allowing Heidi and I to have such a fun date!

She is fun to experience things with...the Easter Pagaent was awesome to watch her face and hear her comments..."I've never heard that before." and "We don't know where Jesus went." Love her!
