Our neighbors, Jehoshaphat and Nora, work at Chick-fil-A. They called a few weeks ago and let us know that they had a couple extra tickets to the daddy-daughter event that Chick-fil-A puts on each year and wondered if Trent would want to take Heidi. They were both excited to go.
Heidi had fun planning her outfit for the evening and was so excited when she realized that if she wore her black and white dress she would fit in wonderfully with the Chick-fil-A cow.
He even had his daughter there!
Almost the whole inside of the restaurant was roped off for this event. They had the tables decorated so nicely, complete with menus, flowers, and booklets with questions for conversation starters.
Picture time!
Here is Mr. Jehoshaphat himself. We were sad that Nora had to leave before we could get a picture. Do you see the man playing the piano on the left? He was the dining room entertainment. They did a great job making this a special evening out.Trent was especially impressed by the amount of detail involved in the conversation starters and pamphlets encouraging dads to get to know their daughters better. He said it was as if a Christian family therapy ministry had a hand in planning the whole thing.
And look what was waiting outside in the parking lot? A real limo! Heidi was thrilled that they got to hop in for a spin around the block.
They snuggled and drank their milkshakes as they got a spin in this fancy car.
