Christmas Day

Christmas morning held all the magic and excitement that it does when you are 6, 4, and 10 months old. :) Our striped pajama-ed kids were ready to go see what Santa brought them!

Opening stockings and excited to find Hello Kitty band-aids and pencils in her loot!

Looks like Nathan found Cars band-aids, pencils, and his favorite: chocolate.

And Santa must have known that Matthew loves bananas because he found one in his stocking.
No need to wait to peel this thing...might as well just nibble right through the peel!

Grandma and Grandpa even found Santa had left them stockings this year!

Nathan was thrilled to find a semi truck with a John Deere combine on the trailer!

A pencil sharpener to end our dull pencil woes...

One of my favorites of Christmas morning is watching the kids exchange gifts with each other. This year they both worked hard on a Saturday before Christmas doing an "elf workshop." I had a list of money making jobs and they worked hard to earn money to buy each other gifts.
Nathan was excited to give Heidi this copy of Boxcar Children. She was obviously excited to receive it!

And this little monkey seemed to find all sorts of mischief while we opened gifts!

A few weeks before Christmas we went on a field trip to the Old Kentucky Chocolate Factory and the kids were excited to find this chocolate doctor's kit to give to Daddy. Notice the little chocolate ambulance that was Nathan's special find?

Heidi admiring her new doll, Meredith.

And Nathan and this ship have been inseparable ever since.
After opening gifts we enjoyed eating breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa and relaxing around the house. We made a quick visit to a couple cousins houses too. It was so special to spend the holiday with family!
