Louisville Slugger Museum

The day after Thanksgiving brought a fun outing to the Louisville Slugger Museum for Trent, the kids, Trent's parents, and Ben. Trent's dad grew up in the dugout of the Cincinnati Reds and lived in the same complex as several professional baseball players. One of those baseball players, Bob Purkey, and his family actually lived in Chuck's house growing up. Having this piece of baseball history so close to our house really spurred the desire to "swing" by. Christine and I stayed behind with babies.

Have you ever seen such a ginormous bat!?

Nathan loved watching how these famous baseball bats are made.

They give each visitor a small bat to take home. Here is everyone posing with their souvenier.

Trent and Grandpa Churck enjoyed posing with Mickey Mantle's actual bat.

And everyone jumped at the chance to have some batting cage fun.

The kids LOVED this place and told me all the details when they returned.
Before saying good bye to Grammy and Grandpa the whole group enjoyed delicious lunch at a local pizzeria!
